Darran May - Owner

After 8 years of service in the Welsh Guards and moving out of London to raise a young family. I gained essential business knowledge in the transportation industry enabling me to start my own removal and delivery company in 1999.

The Business

After starting as a sole trader with a single vehicle we have established good business relations with a number of high street furniture retailers as well as domestic customers.

We estimate that over 75% of our business is from referrals and repeat customers.

Services we offer are :-

Household and small office moves,
Local, National and European relocation services,
General and contract delivery services,
Man and a Van hire (subject to availability).

All of our vehicles come with full mover's insurance (upto £25,000) included.

DFS

We are a delivery agent for DFS branches throughout Kent. Deliveries include 2 man teams and often include delivering to flats or difficult to deliver to locations. Staff are trained to dismantle correctly all furniture as per the manufacturers recommendations.

The Legal Stuff

All prices are agreed by email. Prices are estimated to the best of our ability and based on information provided.
An extra charge of £10.00 will be incurred if travelling through the Congestion charge zone.
Parking remains the responsibility of the customer and must be arranged by the customer. If no other arrangements are made and our vehicle is to receive any infringements while on the job, the customer is liable to pay for this. Payment must be received in full on completion of the job.
For residential moves, we accept payments by cash, PayPal and by cheque if cleared before move date. Cash payment must be received upon completion of the job.
For commercial moves, we accept payments by cash, PayPal, cheque or BACS if cleared before move date. Payment by BACS must be agreed prior to actual job date. All invoices must be agreed prior to actual job date and be settled within 5 working days.
Job arrival times are estimated. Although we always do our best to be on time, circumstances out of our control may cause some delays.
If no other agreement is made we accept no responsibility for damage or loss of property after the job is completed and the payment is received by the Driver.
We have a £25,000 'Movers Operators Liability UK’ and £350,000 ‘European CMR’ insurance policy. In our hands your goods are covered - subject to an insurance excess charge of £150.00 per claim. This is payable by the customer before any claim can be considered.
It is customer's responsibility to arrange an extra insurance if required.
We do not cover the following:
- Loss of damage to food and drink, furs, jewellery, watches, precious stones, deeds, bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes, money or securities for money ,stamps of all kinds, manuscripts and other documents.
- Loss or damage caused by or arising from wear and tear, gradual deterioration, mildew, moth, vermin or any process of cleaning, repairing or restoring.
- Mechanical and/or electrical derangements unless caused by external means.
- Breakage of owner-packed goods unless caused by a major accident to the means of conveyance, loss or damage occurring in premises where the goods are stored ,warehoused or temporarily housed in the course of transit.
- In the event of loss of or damage to any article forming part of a pair or set , the indemnity granted hereunder shall be limited to the proportionate value that article bears to the total value of the pair or set and no additional depreciation shall be paid.
- Our fleet of removal vans currently consists of 3.5 Tonne Iveco Luton vans which have an available capacity of between 1000 – 1100 cubic feet of space.

A non-refundable £100 deposit is payable on confimation of booking.
